NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – The Municipality of North Grenville proudly announces the second annual call for applications to the Arts and Culture Development Fund (ACDF), signaling a renewed commitment to fostering creativity and cultural enrichment within our community.
“We are excited to announce municipal funding for a second consecutive year, aimed at bolstering innovative, high-caliber projects and programming. These initiatives aim to foster broader access to arts and culture within our community that appeals to residents of all ages,” emphasized Mayor Peckford.
With an annual allotment of $10,000 dedicated to this initiative, North Grenville is poised to provide important support and elevate the arts and culture sector to new heights by providing vital financial resources.
Deputy Mayor John Barclay, Co-Chair of the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee, expressed, “This fund is intended to support and help showcase the rich and diverse artistic and cultural contributions within the Municipality of North Grenville.”
The purpose of this annual fund is to stimulate growth and leverage additional resources for the arts and culture sector. It aims to support individual artists, groups of artists and arts and culture organizations in North Grenville.
“We look forward to celebrating and further promoting and strengthening arts and culture in our community,” added Councillor Debbie Wilson and member of the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee.
Ardis Lerner, who is also Co-Chair, added “As co-chair of the North Grenville Arts and Culture Advisory Committee, I speak for the committee when I say how excited we are to be an active part of the cultural development in North Grenville, and to see the community response to this development fund.”
Application Process:
Interested and eligible applicants can fill in an application here or pick up a hard copy at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, 285 CR44, Kemptville.
The deadline to submit an application is Friday, May 31, 2024, at 5:00pm ET.
Eligible projects must take place in North Grenville and must align with the Arts and Culture Development Fund’s objectives.
Successful applications will be notified in July 2024.
