Come celebrate Ribbon Skirt Day with North Grenville's Indigenous Advisory Circle as we make ribbon skirts. Limited supplies will be provided, and guests are also encouraged to bring their own. Volunteers will provide sewing machines and teachings. 

Ribbon Skirt Day was created after an Indigenous youth experienced bullying for wearing a traditional skirt to school. Parliament subsequently passed legislation and the day was first celebrated in 2023. It takes place every year on January 4.
