Prerequisite Orientation Session - May 23, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
The objective of an orientation is to offer the most current information regarding the North Grenville Fire Service mission and values, community profile, job requirements, recruitment process, participation commitments, and additional beneficial information.
The commencement of a selection and recruitment process will begin with a prerequisite North Grenville Fire Service orientation session on which is on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 6:30 - 8:30pm at the North Grenville Fire Station, 259 County Road 44, Kemptville. This orientation is open to the public who may be considering a position with the North Grenville Fire Service. The orientation serves to inform individuals of the job requirements and will help guide the individual in their decision process when considering whether to apply for a position of volunteer firefighter.
Job Description
Department: Emergency & Protective Services
The volunteer firefighter responds to suppression and emergency call-outs in accordance with Standard Operating Guidelines, and in circumstances of extreme weather and temperature conditions. A volunteer firefighter provides fire protection services as approved.
- Be able to work in confined spaces and wear a self-contained breathing apparatus
- Be able to be an active participant at medical emergencies
